

We have to schedule when we will bring our lambs to the locker 5 weeks in advance and will post here on the site the dates that lambs will be butchered. You may reserve your lamb now with a $75 deposit. Supplies are limited! If you would like to stop at the farm and choose the animal you'd like to have, you may do that BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You may also take the lambs live and process them yourselves. Lambs must be reserved BEFORE slaughter. We only sell live lambs. They will be delivered to the butcher and you will be able to pick up your cuts & wrapped meat several days after they are processed.
The lambs will be butchered on March 10, 2009, and they will hang and cure for one week prior to you picking up your meat. During this one week hanging period, you should call the butcher and tell him what type of cuts you desire... roasts, steak, chops, stew meat and ground meat . Reserve your lamb now!

We offer live animal sales only, delivered to our local locker plant. Our crossbred lambs will weigh 80-125 pounds when they are ready for slaughter; if you have a specific weight in mind we may be able to accomodate you. A lamb with a live weight of 100 pounds will have a 'hanging weight', after slaughter, of about 50 pounds. Depending on how you want the meat processed, a 50-pound carcass will dress out to 30-40 pounds of quality roasts, chops, stew meat and ground meat. Our price is $1.50 per pound, live weight. This includes delivery to the packing plant. You may have the meat cut however you wish, and pick it up at the locker, fresh or frozen. The butchering and cutting charge per lamb is $65.00, payable directly to the butcher, Country Meat Cutters, when you pick up your meat. Their number is 920-927-5577.
